EFFECTIVE OCT. 1st- Know where Not to Hold your Wireless Devices when driving in FL

In an effort to provide additional protection for our children as well as our roadway workers, the Put It Down: Focus on Driving campaign has officially been launched. As of October 1st, FL drivers can be stopped for HOLDING a wireless device in a designated School Zones, School Crossings, or Active Work Areas. Warnings are to be issued to motorists caught in violation until December 31, 2019 but will be issued Citations starting January 1, 2020.
